Literature report ( advance organic chemistry)

 Guidelines: –

The report should be a 2 to 4 pages, using a 12-point font, 1.15 line spacing and 1-inch margins on letter-sized paper. –

Your report should contain the four following sections:

1.Introduction: what is the context and significance of the work? What is the current state-of-the-art to which the authors compare their research? What is the object of this research?

2. Results: Broadly, what kind of results were obtained? Which of these results are most surprising/exciting/promising? Are there any interesting tricks in the procedures?

3 Discussion: What was learned by doing this research? How do these results compare to what is known in the literature? What are the strengths and limitations of the current research?

4 Conclusion and future work: How does this research fit into the field as it currently is, and how was the need addressed? What are the next steps in this field of research? –

The organization of the report is important. Convey the story behind the article by emphasizing the connections between the state-of-the-art, the objective(s), the results and the discussion. – References should be cited whenever discussing other articles, and do not count towards the 5-page limit. The reference section should be added at the end of the document. The references should be formatted according to the American Chemical Society style guide. – Provide a copy of your chosen article with your report. – Your analysis of the paper should be factual, i.e. supported with evidence. Your opinion is not relevant in this assignment.
