- Describe what civil service is and how it effects employment in the public sector. Additionally, explain what due process is in relation to civil service and how it can affect a civil service protected employee.
- Summarize McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y as well as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Describe which model you most agree with and why.
- Describe how people are protected from discrimination in hiring and employment practices by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and subsequent anti-discrimination laws. Next, explain the difference between disparate treatment and disparate impact. Last, do you feel that these laws provide enough protection against discrimination in the workplace? If not, what should be added or removed?
