Working with data using rstudio

Data Visualizing with RStudio

Background: As we have learned, a lot of thought goes into the design of a visualization. In this examination of your data and its visualization, we review how data types influence the choice of graphing – see “Selecting a Graph” hand-out (in this folder).

Provide screen shots that shows graphs and charts of your dataset (Do NOT use ggplot2 or other R package features – we will learn and use these advance R features in another lesson) For each screen shot, please show comment lines that describes what the next line(s) of code is to achieve, the code in proper syntax for R, and the computed results that R produces.

Visualizing your data:

Review Kirk chapter 4 and Res Wknd slide hand-outs to learn the data type requirements for each graph type.

Also use this  R Tutorial page: for reference on RStudio commands for creating graphs and charts.

Use RStudio to create graphs and charts – create screen shots and then paste to your MS word document showing visuals of your dataset. Use c ommands (piebarplothist, boxplot, plot).

 Box Plot:

  • Create a box plot that shows a measure of the distribution  of values across chosen fields/columns of your dataset – use same previous fields/columns. First, create a vector (v) that has values for values of each field/column. then use function   boxplot   (v). (provide as screen shot #8)
  • Label the x and y axis as (same as previous histogram). Use function   boxplot   (v, xlab =, ylab =,    (provide also as screen shot #8)
  • Title the box plot as ( a name you choose).  Use function boxplot (v, main=, xlab =, ylab =,  (provide also as screen shot #8)
  • Color the box plot any color you wish.  Use function   boxplot  ( v, main=, xlab =, ylab =, col =.    (provide also as screen shot #8)

Scatter Plot:

  • Create a scatter plot  that shows many points of  fields/columns of your dataset plotted in a Cartesian plain – use same previous fields/columns. First, create two variables for fields – for the horizontal coordinate (hw) and vertical (vw) for the vertical coordinate. then use function  p lot   (vw,hw). (provide as screen shot #9).
  • Create a scatter plot of just two of the fields/columns of  your dataset
  • Choose one field/column of your dataset and plot that with a label the x coordinate
  • Add a label to the y axis of this same field/column
  • Add a Titleto  the scatter plot (as you choose)
  • Color the scatter any color you wish (your choice).

These screen shots containing graphs and charts of your data should also be placed in the same MS Word document and labeled as  Part 2 – Dataset Visualizing with RStudio .
You should have one MS Word document that shows both part 1 and part 2 as this assignment. Your deliverable includes both parts of this assignment; it also includes your cover page in APA style showing

Project resource management | Computer Science homework help

Project Resource Management

Several people working on the Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project are confused about their responsibilities for the testing portion of the project. Recall that the team members include you, a programmer/analyst and aspiring project manager; Patrick, a network specialist; Nancy, a business analyst; and Bonnie, another programmer/analyst. Tony Prince is the project manager, and he has been working closely with managers in other departments to make sure everyone knows what’s going on with the project.

1.    Prepare a responsibility assignment matrix based on the following information: The main tasks for testing include writing a test plan, unit testing, integration testing for each of the main system modules (registration, tracking, and incentives), system testing, and user acceptance testing. In addition to the project team members, a team of user representatives is available to help with testing, and Tony has also hired an outside consulting firm to help as needed. Prepare a RACI chart to help clarify roles and responsibilities for these testing tasks. Document key assumptions you make in preparing the chart.

2.    The employees of the outside consulting firm and the user representatives have asked you to create a resource histogram to show how many people you think the project will need for testing, and to show when testing will occur. Assume that the consulting firm has junior and senior testers and that the user group has workers and managers. You estimate that you’ll need the involvement of both groups in testing over a period of six weeks. Assume that you’ll need one senior tester for all six weeks, two junior testers for the last four weeks, two user-group workers for the first week, four user-group workers for the last three weeks, and two user-group managers for the last two weeks. Create a resource histogram like the one in Figure 9-6(SEE ATTACHED) based on this information.

3.    One of the issues Tony identified is the ability to work effectively with the user group during testing. According to MBTI classifications, Tony knows that several of his project team members are very introverted and strong thinking types, while several members of the user group are very extroverted and strong feeling types. Write a one-page paper that describes options for resolving this issue, focusing on using a confrontation/problem-solving approach.

Discussion on continuity of care

Week 6: Discussion on Continuity of Care

Step 1: View the following video: Why care continuity means never discharging

patients: (Links to an external site.)

Step 2: Review the Continuity and Coordination of Care by the World Health Organization: (Links to an external site.)

Step 3: Read the following article – How important is continuity of care. (Links to an external site.)

Step 4: View the following video: Communicating with Doctors as a New Nurse or Nursing Student Tips: (Links to an external site.)

Continuity of care is defined as the sound, timely, smooth, unfragmented and seamless transition of a client from one area within the same healthcare facility, from one level of care to a higher and more intense level of care or to a less intense level of care based on the client’s status and level of acuity, from one healthcare facility to another healthcare facility and also any discharges to the home in the client’s community.

Maintaining the continuity of care requires that the nurse, and other members of the healthcare team, identify current client needs and then move the client to the appropriate clinical area, to the appropriate level of care, and to the appropriate healthcare facility in a timely and effective manner.

The Nurse’s role in Continuity of Care:

  • Coordinate care with the interprofessional team
  • Act as a liaison and be a client advocate
  • Complete admission, transfer, discharge, and post-discharge prescriptions
  • Initiate, revise, and evaluate the plan of care
  • Report the client’s status
  • Coordinate discharge planning
  • Facilitate referrals and use of community resources

Communication, collaboration and cooperation among and between appropriate healthcare team members and the client are essential components of the continuity of care.

Initial Discussion Assignment:

Part 1: Create a detailed scenario in which a patient with frequent re-admissions for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is successfully integrated into a care plan that exhibits continuity of care from admission to successful discharge to home with follow-up visits and monitoring. You are not allowed to simply agree or disagree in your responses to the initial postings. All responses must have evidence-based reasons why you agree or disagree and must be supported by research. At least one evidence-based article must be referenced.

Part 2: Your patient has transitioned home; however, during a follow-up visit you notice that the patient is having a mild exacerbation and you need to notify the patients doctor for possible admission. Create a detailed ISBAR report prior to calling the physician.

Discussion questions – twain, “the man that corrupted hadleyburg”

Discussion questions – Twain, “The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg”

Mark Twain wrote this story in 1898, toward the end of his career, and long after publishing his masterpieces Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. However, “Hadleyburg” reflects one concern that interested Twain throughout his entire career: the sarcastic skewering of middle-class morality and mannerisms. We will examine Twain’s critique of the false righteousness and hidden hypocrisies of common, civilized life as an example of Realism.

1. Hadleyburg prides itself on the honesty of its citizens. However, this focus on honesty has allowed other, less moral attitudes to take root and grow among the people. Find 2 passages that reveal at least two different sinful attitudes shared by the citizens of Hadleyburg.

2. The stranger’s plot is perfectly designed to attack the one source of pride of the townspeople. Focus on the scene describing the night the owner of the sack of gold is to be revealed. Explain what Twain to saying about human nature through the behavior of Wilson the lawyer. Find 1 passage that supports your interpretation. (Hint: Does Wilson tell the truth?)

2a. Also, Dr. Harkness ends up buying the sack of (fake) gold. Why does he do this, and what is Twain trying to say about politics and morality through that subplot? Find 1 passage that supports your interpretation. (Hint: Harkness creates a fake story about the gold. Also, why is he desperate to win the election?)

3. The Richardses were spared the humiliation the other nineteen families experienced. They even receive a reward for $38,500! However, their lives end miserably. Their miserable end is related to the one moral weakness that Richards consistently exhibits throughout the story. What is this weakness (it’s not greed) and explain how it causes a terrible ending to the Richardses’ lives. Find 1 passage that reveals this weakness.

Creative reflection | Education homework help

Read Part 1, Pages 1-37 from your text.

  • To achieve the best grade, please follow the attached rubric below!! This is how I will grade.

As you read, make notes about your reactions, assumptions, implications, arguments, questions (see prompts in instructions)
The idea of personal responses is to engage in thoughtful internal dialogue about the idea of global issues and education. You should attempt, in your understanding of the readings to get “underneath” what you read in order to understand the social, political, and cultural underpinnings of the issues.  Reading critically involves more than understanding the words or liking or disliking the texts; critical reading requires reflection.

Some prompts are helpful for how you should approach these assignments. As you consider your reflections, think about these questions: (a) what are the texts’ assumptions about the phenomena being discussed? (b) What are the implications of the assumptions and/or the arguments? (c) What is at stake in the text’s arguments for the authors and for you? (d) Who (or what) are the authors arguing for or against? (e) How do the authors construct and articulate their arguments? (f) How do the texts “fit” (or not fit) in relation to your own thought and practice? (g) What questions did you find yourself asking after doing the reading? Please do not simply summarize the readings.

Write your critical response connecting the content from the text with your responses to the prompts.

Your response should be written in a narrative form that is evident of engaging with the content and reflection.

Poem: hades welcome his bride.

Poem: Hades Welcome His Bride.

Write an essay in which you show how and why the speaker experiences a conflict between particular ways of looking or being. Also look at how the speaker’s attitude toward, or thoughts about, something or how our vision of the speaker’s character changes over the course of a poem. Be sure to clearly identify the speaker’s conflict and what changed during the poem.

Your postings will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • Be sure that your thesis is explicit and supported with one to two quotations from the literature.
  • Do not write in first or second person.
  • Following the rules of Standard English. Please proofread your writing before clicking the ‘submit’ button!
  • When you include a quotation from the literature in your mini-essay, please place an in-text citation (also called a parenthetical citation) immediately after you close the quotation marks and before you place a period at the end of your sentence. That way, anyone in the class (including me!) can easily find the quotation in the literature if necessary. If you’re not sure what to place inside the parentheses, there is instruction in the textbook in Chapter 34- Quotation, Citation, and Documentation.
  • When you include in-text citations, there must be a Works Cited listing at the bottom of your post.
  • Be sure to follow the “Quote Sandwich” when you insert quotations.
